Last Friday) marked the 70th day of the year in which The Queen marks the 70th anniversary of her accession.
Civic leaders in Sandwell joined together earlier to plant a tree as their tribute to Her Majesty and to be included in an official record which will be sent to The Queen prior to the Platinum Jubilee weekend in June.
Deputy Mayor Councillor Richard Jones planted a Monterey Cypress 'Goldcrest' tree at Dartmouth Park, West Bromwich. He was joined by Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands Gurpreet Bhatia and others.
