On until 30 June
Bantock House Museum
In 1968 John Blundall founded the Cannon Hill Puppet Theatre company, housed within the Midland Arts Centre in Birmingham, his hometown.
He was its artistic director until its closure in 1992 and in that time he wrote, designed and directing more than 50 productions. His role in the Gerry Anderson programmes Stingray, Fireball XL5 and of course Thunderbirds, for which John designed and created the puppet of Parker, Lady Penelope’s chauffeur, brought him global renown and fandom.
This exhibition will give a glimpse into his work showcasing a range of his puppets from a selection of his productions.
