Queen by Candlelight Concert

Thursday 2 & Friday 3 May, 7.30pm

Direct from Carnegie Hall, New York and following a run of sell-out shows across the UK and Australia, join us for an incredible night of Queen Anthems, performed at Hereford Cathedral by Candlelight. Lunchtime Organ Concert – Jacob Costard

Tuesday 7 May, 1.15pm

Join us for the return of our Lunchtime Organ Concert series. This year’s programme opens with Jacob Costard, this year’s organ scholar. Free with a retiring collection.

Cathedrals at Night

Saturday 11 May, 7 – 9pm

Hereford Cathedral will be opening its doors after hours to welcome in people of all ages to experience and explore the beautiful building and to enjoy a taste of cathedral life. Free events on the evening will include tours and performances as well as free entry to the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library for one night only.

This event is free – no booking required.

EXHIBITIONS

Masters of the Library

Monday 6 May – Saturday 14 September, 10 am to 5 pm

The latest exhibition in the Mappa Mundi & Chained Library explores the prestigious role of ‘Master of the Library’ and the individuals who have held the role at Hereford Cathedral throughout the centuries.

Cathedral in Focus: 1984 – 2024

Saturday 11 – Thursday 30 May 

Over the last four decades, Gordon Taylor MBE LRPS has created a rich and extensive photographic history of Hereford Cathedral and its community. To celebrate, the cathedral will be hosting an exhibition in the North Transept to celebrate 40 years of Gordon Taylor’s work as Cathedral Photographer featuring a selection of favourite images chosen by Gordon himself.
